Ruairidh McLennan Battleday
I am a postdoctoral researcher in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence, based at Harvard’s Center for Brain Science, and MIT’s Center for Brains, Minds, and Machines.
I primarily work with Professor Sam Gershman on computational models of generalization, planning, and algorithmic science.
I have co-authored and presented a number of projects on probabilistic models of cognition and deep learning, focusing particularly on the problems of categorization, classification, generalization, and analogy.
I completed my PhD in Computer Science at Princeton under the supervision of Professor Tom Griffiths, and my MD at the University of Oxford, St John’s College.
I am the executive director of a nonprofit I founded called Thinking About Thinking, and run annual conferences on AI and AE (algorithmic entrepreneurship).
